How To Make The Perfect Travel Itinerary For Your Trip?
Making a travel itinerary may sound like a trivial,
waste-of-my-precious-time job to finish before you travel, but listen to us
out— a custom travel itinerary is amazing. It sets out every piece of data you
may need on your journey so you're never left to hunt for an email or telephone
number.
Simply put, itinerary houses all the information that you might ever need while in the same place on your trip. The way to get started is here:
- First,
collect all the information you might need: flights, hotels, day trip
information, tours, and transfers, etc.
- Then
note down the hotel address, flight numbers, tours, and transfer details.
- Next,
fill in every day with any information you might need.
- Once
you have added your data, it's time to save your itinerary to a location
that you can readily access.
- Take a
print out the hard copy and store your boarding passes, maps or
anything else you would usually be able to access along with flight
information and hotel addresses.
Below the detailed process of itinerary creation:
1. Do
Your Research
Before
planning for any trip, do your own research such as which city you are
traveling, flight, hotel, tours & transfer details with the city's
geographical conditions.
You
need to understand what you want to do and what will create the ultimate travel
venture for you if you want to get the most out of your experience.
Before
I travel anywhere I do an online search for "Best place to stay",
"Best restaurants", "Best places to explore"
"Attractions & sightseeing" "Do's & Don't". Then I
rapidly scroll through dozens of outcome pages, making a list of all the stuff
that even mildly interest me in Evernote. For this, I use the country's tourism
website & google search to get the information.
After
a rough list, on each attraction and restaurant, the more elaborate study is
performed to determine what will be kept on the itinerary versus what will be
deleted. Keep in mind that you can't see and do everything, so put the items
that are absolute must-dos on an asterisk.
Tips
- If your travels will take you to several different countries, list the
information for each country.
2. Organize your essential travel
details
Next, add to your itinerary you are vital to travel
data, which involves:
· Airline tickets, Flight numbers, Flight
dates & time
· Hotel reservations vouchers, Hotel
address & contact details
· Tours & Transfers
vouchers, Tour dates & times, Tour meeting and ending point
· Foreign exchange
· Visa
· Attractions & shopping centers
· Restaurants
· Travel agent details
3. Create day-wise activity
Since you have all the details, now you have to add
activities (day wise) in your itinerary. Create day-wise planning starting from
1st-day arrival, check-in, sightseeing, transfers, food, shopping etc. with
last day departure.
In the itinerary, mention each & every detail
starting from the number of passengers, arrival & departures timing, pick
up & drop timing, all-day plans & activities, emergency contact
details.
4. Create a calendar
Make a calendar for your holiday every day. You can
either generate a table in a straightforward list format. Look at your
"things to do" list, there are bound to be some attractions/events
that need to be done on specific days due to limited open hours or availability
of reservations, so put them on the calendar first under the appropriate day
and time.
If on that particular date there are free hours,
add to it anything that is in the same district, starting with the important
items that have an asterisk next to them. Don't just squeeze as many times as
you can in these other entries before or after your planned case. This way
you'll have plenty of choices on what to do in the area you're going to be in
without the time being strict.
5. Recheck & checkmark
Finally, recheck all the details and add if you are
missing any important information. Gather all the information regarding your
tours such as city's timing, sightseeing opening & closing timing, hotel
& travel agent contact details, etc. Checkmark all your bucket list.
Happy Traveling!
